| VERA KRICKHAHN ILUZE A IRITACE |
Od počátku své umělecké tvorby se zabývám sochařstvím i výtvarnými formami grafiky a kresby. Obě formy uměleckého vyjádření mě rovněž přitahují svou protikladností. Mým cílem bylo a je prostřednictvím vjemových iritací vyvolávat v divákovi nové způsoby vidění. V sochařství lze tohoto cíle dosáhnout prostorovým uspořádáním s jeho specifickým poměrem k okolnímu prostoru. Střídáním prostoru a dynamiky se v plastice vyvolá dojem pohybu. Grafické zobrazení s prvky iluzionistické fabulace nabízí celou řadu tvůrčích možností. Uvolňuje fantazii, odhaluje svět prožitků a oběma - umělci i divákovi - nabízí možnosti vlastní interpretace a vnímání nové skutečnosti. Přitom umělecká forma - ať realistická, či abstraktní - nehraje tak velkou roli. Práce s novými prostředky (počítače) v tomto smyslu otevírá celou řadu nových možností. Poté, co jsem se delší dobu zabývala různými grafickými programy jako výtvarnými prostředky grafiky, sloučila jsem ve svých posledních pracích příslušné specifické oblasti dvojrozměrnosti a trojrozměrnosti. Po přidání světla, průhledných a potištěných materiálů tak vznikly sochy a objekty, které se pohybujícímu divákovi předvádějí jako pohybující se objekty-obrazy nebo sochy. Iluze a iritace. Z letmosti setkání v okamžiku posečkání vzít čas do vlastních rukou a to zítřejší přes současnost přenést v minulost |
| ILLUSION AND IRRITATION |
Since I began my work as an artist, I have been concerned with sculpture as much as with graphic art and drawing. The two forms of artistic expression attract me equally because of their contrary natures. My aim has been, and is, to provoke observers through sensory irritation into new ways of seeing.
In sculpture, this aim can be achieved through the spatial composition, with its specific relationship to the surrounding area. Through the interaction of space and the dynamics of the sculpture, an impression of movement is created
Graphic representation offers a wealth of creative possibilities through its capacity for illusionistic storytelling. It frees the imagination, opens up new worlds of experience, and offers artists and observers alike the opportunity to form their own interpretations and explore new realities. The art form - whether realist or abstract - is not in itself so significant. In this sense, working with new media (computers) opens up a whole range of new possibilities. Having grappled with various graphics programs as a means of designing my graphics for some time, in my latest works I brought certain specific areas of two- and three-dimensionality together. With the addition of light, transparent materials and print substrates become statues and objects that moving viewers perceive as moving object-pictures or statues. Illusions and irritations. Out of the transience of a meeting at a moment's lingering to grasp time and bring tomorrow across the present and into the past. |
